INKBIRD PLUS Indoor Air Quality Monitor
INKBIRD PLUS 6 in 1 Indoor Air quality Monitor
PTH-9A is a multifunctional air quality monitor that simultaneously detects carbon dioxide concentration, temperature, humidity, AQI and PM2.5 (Particulate matter) , PM10.
It has built-in professional detection sensors , it can accurately detect the current CO2 concentration. It also had an AK3 Indoor CO2 Meter, accurate test for formaldehyde(HCHO), TVOC, Temperature and Relative Humidity, Relative Humidity, Real Time Gas detector, 350~2000 ppm Range .
Features
Real-Time Measurement: The air quality monitor can accurately detect the level of CO2, Volatile Organic Compound(TVOC), Formaldehyde(HCHO), temperature and humidity, and update the measured results per second on the colorful display.
Accurate Results: Adopted a high-precision infrared sensor and a built-in high-performance chip, which can accurately capture the weak current generated during the electrochemical reaction, to calculate the CO2 measurement result.
Smart Alarm: Air Quality can be divided into three levels, GOOD OK and POOR,
When the measured air level turns into OK, the indicator will turn YELLOW and the device will sound “Bee-Bee” twice to remind you when the measured air levels turns into POOR, the indicator will turn into RED and the device will sound “Bee-Bee-Bee” twice, you will see the color clearly with the large screen.
Battery: 1200mAh Built-in Lithium Battery, it takes 2.5 hours to charge the battery, lasts 6 to 8 hours when it is fully charged, and can be connected to power during use.
Wide Application: The device is ideal to monitor air quality in cafeterias, restaurants, schools, offices, greenhouses, factories, hotels, hospitals, etc. Note: Air changes constantly, the measured results will be affected at the same time, please focus on long time measurements(over 60 minutes) to get a conclusion about the air quality of the overall environment.
How does it work ?
IAQ monitors have three sensors : oxygen, carbon dioxide, and carbon monoxide.
The Oxygen sensor is an electrochemical sensor. Any gas which can be oxidized or reduced electrochemically can be detected by means of a fuel based electrochemical sensor. The consumption of oxygen produces a current which is linearly proportional to the concentration of gas in the air. Since the O2 sensor is constantly exposed to oxygen, the normal life of the sensor is between 1-2 years.
The Carbon Dioxide sensor is infrared detection sensor which operates by transmitting an infrared beam through the sample, which absorbs the energy of the beam depending on the concentration of CO2 present ,and detecting how much of the infrared beam’s energy is left after passing through the sample and converting that to a reading in concentration of CO2.
The Carbon Monoxide sensor is also an electrochemical sensor which operates by the same basic principles as the oxygen sensor. Electrochemical sensors consume minute amounts of gas, the absorption of gas and electric output being controlled by a “diffusion barrier”.
INKBIRD 6 in 1 Plus Indoor Air Quality Monitor Review
Over the past few years, the prices of indoor air quality monitors have dropped significantly. The most affordable monitors that were accurate started at a couple of hundred dollars or more. Luckily, prices have gradually dropped over the years, and we now have many affordable options under $100.
I recently reviewed one of INKBIRD’s products, a CO2 monitor named the IAM-T1 and found it a very appealing product that rivals the gold standard of CO2 monitors, the Aranet4. However, I want to look at a very different product – the INKBIRD PLUS 6 in 1 PTH-9A Indoor CO2 Detector. Since the name is quite long, I will refer to the device as the INKBIRD 6 in 1 monitor .
The INKBIRD 6 in 1 Monitor is a ‘dumb’ indoor air quality monitor because it doesn’t have the connectivity or a supporting application we often see in other monitors. Instead, this monitor is designed to be a standalone device that can sit on your desk, in your kitchen, or in your bedroom and provide insights without needing a smart device.
Conclusion
In conclusion, a lot-based air pollution monitoring system is a revolutionary solution that can provide accurate and real-time data about the air quality in a particular area. It can help identify the sources of pollution and take necessary measures to reduce it, protecting the environment and human health.
